MailBlue is the Dutch version of ActiveCampaign. It offers software for automation, sending emails, managing CRM and automating your sales process.
Since MailBlue offers the same software as ActiveCampaign, the integration with WordPress is the same as ActiveCampaign.
1. You click in your wordpress environment on plugins and then on “new plugin”.
2. There you search for the ActiveCampaign plugin.
3. At the plugin “Activecampaign – Forms, Site Tracking, Live Chat” press install.
Setting up automations and flows is fine though. In my opinion, it is a little less intuitive than some other systems, but it works well. The drag-and-drop system within the automations is clear and self-explanatory, making it a pleasant system to work with.
4.Activate the plugin
Once you have done this, you will be asked for your API information. Where to find this information is shown in the heading below.
Your API can be found by logging into your MailBlue environment (companyname.active hosted.com).
Once logged in, go to settings at the bottom left and click on “developer”, here you will find your API URL and API Key. You will need these when installing MailBlue on WordPress. Once you have entered your API data, click Connect and you’re done!
Do you have a WooCommerce webshop? Then it is convenient to connect your woocommerce with Maliblue, but how do you do that? To connect MailBlue with WooCommerce, you need the plugin “ActiveCampaign for WooCommerce”. You follow the same steps indicated above when installing for WordPress. Only now you install the WooCommerce plugin instead of the WordPress plugin.
This gives you the ability to filter based on WooCommerce data in your contacts and send automatic mails like an abandoned cart or a customer winback mail.
MailBlue is the Dutch provider of ActiveCampaign. The software is almost identical, except that MailBlue’s interface is a slightly lighter blue than ActiveCampaign’s and everything is in Dutch. Read more under the heading MailBlue vs ActiveCampaign.

Still, the difference between Mailblue and Mailchimp is quite significant. Both Mailblue and Mailchimp are email marketing software, but Mailblue offers a lot more functionality. MailBlue has a tremendously powerful system for: CRM, sales funnels, email and marketing automation. Which makes it a lot better suited for companies looking to implement an advanced email marketing strategy.
My advice: Are you a beginner and want to send 1x newsletter per month and still working on growing your list? Choose Mailchimp. If you want a more advanced email marketing strategy then Mailblue is the better option.
My two favorite email marketing software and for good reason. Mailblue is an incredibly powerful system that lends itself perfectly to the B2B market. Klaviyo, on the other hand, is the choice if you have an online store and want to get more results from email marketing.
When considering this, you have to ask yourself: Do I have a webshop or do I have a b2b business?

Mailerlite is also a good option to choose as a beginner. Why. Mailerlite is user-friendly, offers some simple automation features, landing page creation and offers a free plan up to 1,000 contacts.
This makes it an ideal option should you just start building a list and don’t expect to go over 1,000 contacts anytime soon. If you are looking for a platform that has more options to marketing automations, offers a CRM system and is suitable for an advanced email marketing strategy then Mailblue is the right choice

It only lends itself to basic email marketing functions such as sending emails. If you are looking for a simple system for sending the occasional email and you have a WordPress website then Mailpoet may be a good option for you.
Both platforms are real powerhouses if you ask me and tremendously suitable for larger companies looking to automate their marketing. Hubspot even goes a step further and is an all-in-one marketing, sales, and service platform.
